Valor, Tort and Woman

In Valor, agravio y mujer (Valor, tort and woman) Leonor pretends to recover  honor before Don Juan. He has promised her marriage and has not fulfilled his promise. In revenge Leonor is dressed in male attire —common technique in the theater of his time— is hidden under the false name of Leonardo, and pursues Don Juan.
Ana Caro criticizes the customs of her time and the position that women occupy in the social order, and parodies the erotic myth of Don Juan ridiculing him.
