Autobiography of Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda

Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda wrote novels, dramas, and worked as an actress. She worked as a journalist briefly, married multiple times, produced a number of successful dramas, and was appointed to an official position in Cuba. She lived parts of her life on either side of the Atlantic, both in Cuba, the US, and Europe and sometimes wrote under the pseudonym, «The Pilgram.»
