Parisian life

Parisian life is the literary construction of a city. Strokes that draw the profile of a vital Paris that feeds the author’s literary creation. The Guatemalan voice of Enrique Gómez Carrillo is the voice of the Latin American modernists who turn the French city into their paradigm.

The writer’s trip to the cultural capital of the world becomes a permanent stay because Paris will be his place of residence. The bohemian of the city will be the space that will allow him to create a series of chronicles, novels and articles that he will publish later.

La vida parisiense is a compilation of some of his texts that appeared between 1895 and 1908 in one of the permanent sections of the same title that he had in the Venezuelan magazine El Cojo Ilustrado.
