Juan Lepiani and Encabo

Juan Lepiani y Encabo (1864-1932) is one of the artists whose works we have chosen to represent the history of Peru in our series of illustrated books. Born in Lima and famous for his paintings portraying historical scenes of Peru, Lepiani showed artistic skills from an early age and received training in Europe, especially in Paris. His unique vision and exceptional talent made him an emblematic figure in the visual representation of Peruvian history, and that is why we have also used images of his works for the covers of our books, considering his essential contribution in illustrating the rich cultural heritage and complexity of Peru’s history.
