Human and divine rhymes

The poetic production of Lope de Vega has remained in the background, after the spectacularity of his dramatic creation. However, it is also rich and abundant.
Within the vast and multifaceted work of Lope de Vega, are, in the last part of his life, the collection of poems that concerns us: the Human and divine rhymes of Licenciado Tomé de Burguillos (1634). This Burguillos (the pseudonym had already been used by Lope before, in the jousting of San Isidro) is his alter ego in his old age.
Rimas humanas y divinas by Burguillos is the last collection of poems published by Lope de Vega. It encompasses humorous, serious, disillusioned, satirical, humorous, religious and even philosophical poems.
