Felix or Book of Wonders

Félix or the Book of Wonders is one of the best known works of Ramon Llull, Catalan philosopher, mystic, and theologian of the thirteenth century. Although Llull is known primarily for his “art”, a logical and combinatorial method of seeking truth, “Felix” is a work that combines philosophy and theology with narrative.
“Felix” is a book of chivalry that tells the story of Felix, a Christian knight, who sets out on a journey to seek wisdom. During his journey, Felix has a series of adventures and encounters with different characters, each of which offers him a different perspective on wisdom and truth.
Through the adventures of Felix, Llull presents his philosophical and theological ideas in a way accessible to the reader.
