Book of prayers and the contemplation of intelligence

Ramon Llull’s Book of Prayers and the Contemplation of Intelligence is one of his most fundamental and extensive works. It is a treatise on mystical theology and philosophy that contains a series of meditations on the nature of God and the relationship between God and creation.
Llull, a pioneering figure of Catalan-language literature and one of the first promoters of the study of logic and philosophy in Europe, was known for his focus on reasoning as a tool for understanding and communicating the truths of the faith. His method, which he called “Art,” sought to provide a rational basis for the Christian faith and was used to argue with non-Christians, especially Jews and Muslims.
